According to a Florida Highway Patrol press release, Kaitlyn Anne Williams, 20, of Fort Walton Beach, was driving a 1999 Lexus SUV east on U.S. 98 at 3:45 a.m. when the vehicle traveled onto the south shoulder and then shot back across the roadway, through the median and into the westbound lane of travel.
