Teen Killed in Watercraft, Boat Crash in Panama City Beach
The News Herald of Panama City reports McDaniel was leading a group of people on personal watercraft in the Grand Lagoon when he hit the boat operated by James D. Moulder of Brewton, Alabama.
Storm Davis McDaniel was driving a 2013 Yamaha personal watercraft between 35 mph and 45 mph with a group of other people following him in other watercrafts. James D. Moulder was driving a 20-foot Sea Fox near a campsite in the area. McDaniel was facing backwards on the watercraft, facing toward the group of people following him, when he crashed into Moulder's boat. Moulder had tried to get out of the way but was not able to build up enough speed before it was too late. McDaniel was ejected from his watercraft and so were two passengers in the Sea Fox. McDaniel was pronounced dead upon arrival at a local hospital.
