On Sunday, the Attorney General Pam Bondi released this statement: "We are devastated by the loss of Pat Gleason's daughter Erika, who was killed in a car accident Friday night on her way to meet family in Orlando. Pat is a beloved member of our team and a champion of Florida's Sunshine law. Her loss is heartbreaking, and we will continue to keep Pat and her family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time of mourning."
Erika Marie Kubik, 33, died in a car crash on Friday. She worked as a third grade teacher at Florida State University Schools in Tallahassee. Kubik was traveling on Florida's Turnpike, when her vehicle exited the roadway into the median and hit a guardrail. Kubrik's mother, Pat Gleason, works as the Special Counsel for Open Government.
