Bradenton man in critical condition following I-75 crash

MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A Bradenton man is in critical condition at Blake Hospital following a rollover crash on Interstate 75 north of State Road 64. The driver of the second vehicle, Tamera Holmes, 43, of Wimauma, Fla., suffered minor injuries in the crash and was taken to Lakewood Ranch Hospital for treatment. Florida Highway Patrol reported that David McCarty, 35, of Bradenton was driving southbound on I-75 north of SR-64 when he changed lanes and crashed his car into another vehicle traveling in the right lane. The crash occurred around 1:15 a.m. This collision sent McCarty's Chevy Avalanche into a spin when it finally rolled over several times and crashed into the fence in front of the Cracker Barrel restaurant at 636 67th Street Circle East.
