An arrest report states that Ross told deputies he'd met a woman at a bar and thought he'd hit a stop sign while driving. AUBURNDALE, Fla. (AP) -- A central Florida driver told deputies he was distracted by a woman who performing a sex act on him when his truck struck and killed a man on a bicycle. The witness and her father returned to the scene and assisted Terry Lamunt Ross, who had been riding his bike. He's now charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving a death. Polk County Sheriff's spokeswoman Carrie Horstman says 54-year-old Randy Joe Allen left the scene of the Saturday night crash but was tracked down after a witness called police with his tag number.

Allen told deputies he had been at the Midway Lounge in Auburndale, "and had met a young lady who left with him." While riding in a pick-up truck down US 92, the woman performing oral sex on the driver heard "a bump", as she later told deputies. She told deputies that while riding in the passenger seat, "she began to perform oral sex on Allen. Family members told deputies he could probably be found at Liquid Larry's Bar in Lakeland. The driver told her he had struck a stop sign – but the Polk County Sheriff's Office said the "bump" was the homeless man he struck and killed.

Randy Joe Allen of Polk City was booked into the Polk County Jail Saturday night and charged with one count leaving the scene of a crash with death. A 54-year-old man has been arrested in the fatal Auburndale hit-and-run of a bicyclist last weekend. Allen told authorities he though he had hit a stop sign, according to the arrest report. According to authorities, additional charges are pending the results of a blood draw analysis. A witness said the pick-up truck struck Ross and then did not stop.
