According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened on westbound Ulmerton near 58th Street just before 6 a.m. Troopers said a 62-year-old St. Petersburg man on a bicycle was struck by an unknown vehicle that drove off after the crash.

After the collision, the driver kept going, but investigators say they left a clue — a side mirror belonging to a 2003-2008 Pontiac Vibe, Toyota Matrix, or Toyota Corolla.
