Clearwater police say they've identified a pick-up truck driver who hit a man on a motorized scooter on Monday afternoon and drove away. The crash happened around 2:45 p.m. in the area of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard and Hampton Road.

Investigators said after the crash, Paterson kept driving down Gulf to Bay Boulevard and stopped half a mile down the road at the South Bayview Avenue intersection to remove the scooter from the vehicle.
