A bicyclist was injured early Saturday when he was hit by a Pinellas County sheriff's patrol car while bicycling across 54th Avenue N
At approximately 2:00 a.m., 29-year-old Doss Wilson was riding his bike to the north on the side of the southbound lane of 28th Street North, when he may have run a red light at the intersection with 54th Avenue North. He was then struck by a police cruiser driven by Deputy Kannika Nimithkoune, 33, who was westbound on the cross road, and sustained injuries considered to be non-life threatening.
