Matthew Dixon, 6, dies in pool accident at home on 92nd Avenue North in Seminole, Florida

Authorities say Matthew Dixon and his friends were playing with water guns and Super Soakers near a pool when Dixon fell into the water around 2:48 p.m. Saturday. A 10-year-old girl, Destiny Reny, was at the scene and saw that Dixon was not coming up. She jumped in the pool to try save the boy. She was unsuccessful and asked Dixon's 14-year-old brother Michael Woodward for help. Woodward was able to pull Dixon out. Dixon's mother, Kelly Woodward, and a neighbor then performed CPR on the child prior to Seminole Fire Rescue arrived at the house.
