At the same time, the 56-year-old driver of a Mazda 3 was exiting the shopping plaza located on the east side of Seminole Boulevard and 72nd Avenue North. As the Mazda driver started to cross the northbound lanes of Seminole Boulevard from east to west, Sterbens collided with the woman's car as he crossed the shopping plaza exit.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said 37-year-old Timothy Sterbens was driving a Ducati motorcycle at a high speed on Seminole Boulevard, just south of Park Boulevard around 8 p.m.
