Tampa Police officer injured in crash with wrong-way driver
The identity of the officer and the other driver has not been released. No charges have been filed as the investigation continues.
A Tampa Police officer was injured Sunday morning during a collision with a wrong-way driver near the intersection of Armenia Ave. and Interstate 275. The incident occurred just after 4 am and closed the southbound entrance ramp to the interstate for several hours. According to a TPD report the officer and the driver of the second vehicle were transported to a local hospital for treatment of non, life-threatening injuries.
