Multivehicle crash closes Tampa intersection

The accident happened around 9:30 a.m. on Monday. Authorities say a sedan heading north on Florida Avenue ran the light and collided with another sedan at full speed. The impact sent the second car into a pickup truck, causing it to turn on its side. Fire rescue officials had to extricate three adults and a total of five people were injured. Three of them were trauma alerts.
