A 20-year-old West Palm Beach man is facing criminal charges after police say he lost control of the car he was driving and crashed into a parked car, injuring his child who was in the front unrestrained.
A 20-year-old West Palm Beach man is facing criminal charges after police say he lost control of the car he was driving and crashed into a parked car, injuring his child who was in the front unrestrained. Amonzo Shelton was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on Sunday and released under supervision Monday, jail records show. He faces charges of driving with a suspended license, reckless driving causing serious bodily injury, and child neglect. Riviera Beach police were called around 12:15 p.m. Sunday to the 700 block of West First Street in response to a traffic crash. Witnesses told police a white Camry hit a parked vehicle, according to an arrest report. The witnesses also said the driver of the Camry, later identified as Shelton, was chasing after a green vehicle.
