West Palm Beach crash sends 9 to hospital; truck hits Palm Tran bus.

Nine people, including one with serious injuries, were taken to area hospitals this afternoon after a Palm Tran bus was struck from behind by a dump trunk, a spokesman for West Palm Beach Fire Rescue said.

The crash happened at around 4:30 p.m. near 45th Street and Broadway. It resulted in minor damage to the bus and the truck, said a Fire Rescue spokesman.

Those injured were taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital and West Palm Hospital. Eight had minor injuries, the fire dept. said.

It was not immediately known whether the dump truck driver was among those injured.
