Gwinnett County Police Accident Investigation Unit is currently investigating a fatal multi-vehicle accident that occurred Monday on Ronald Reagan Parkway near Five Forks Trickum Road that closed all lanes in both directions.

Three vehicles were involved in the incident. One of the drivers died at the scene as a result of the accident. One child was transported to Scottish Rite Pediatric Hospital for treatment. No further information about other injuries or the extent of injuries has been released.

Icy road conditions might have contributed to the incident, which occurred between Highway 124 and Five Forks Trickum Road at about 6:48 a.m..

Multiple emergency response vehicles were at the scene. A Life Flight helicopter that had landed in the median took off around 7:45 a.m.
