Lyon, the police spokesman, said the cement truck driver was cited for disobeying a traffic control device and driving too fast for conditions. Police said about 25 gallons of diesel fuel were spilled during the crash.

Young told 11Alive's Brenda Wood that he is OK and has a bump on his shin. He was taken to Emory University Midtown Hospital as a precaution. He said five people were in the accident and they all walked away.
At around 5 p.m. on Hemphill Avenue and 14th Street NW, a concrete mixing truck overturned, crushing two cars. Former Atlanta mayor Andrew Young was a passenger in one of the vehicles and he was taken to the emergency room at Emory University Hospital Midtown with non-life threatening injuries. One man was taken to the hospital by ambulance with head and hand injuries. The driver of the truck was cited for disobeying a traffic control device and driving too fast for the conditions.
