Fire officials confirm fatal plane crash at Peachtree-Dekalb Airport

The fatal crash took place at the Good Neighbor Day Stunt Show. 

Witnesses say a biplane was engaged in a maneuver and was unable to pull out of a dive due to high winds.

Stunt pilot killed in fiery crash at Georgia airshow

WSB-TV is reporting the pilot was killed in the crash. The pilot is reportedly from Augusta, Ga.

The biplane and another aircraft were performing stunts in tandem during the next-to-last performance of the day at the Good Neighbor Day Open House Airshow at DeKalb Peachtree Airport, said CNN Digital news writer Melissa Gray, who attended the show with her family and witnessed the crash.

Parents asked to turn children away after fatal PDK air show crash

“Ladies and gentleman, I want you to turn your children away from the field,” WSB radio announcer Scott Slade said to the crowd.
