A woman has been arrested and charged in a single-vehicle wreck that injured a pedestrian and brought down two power poles in Brookhaven on Wednesday evening.

A woman has been arrested and charged in a single-vehicle wreck that injured a pedestrian and brought down two power poles in Brookhaven on Wednesday evening.

Cretesia Curtis, 34, was arrested and charged with DUI and other traffic charges.

According to authorities, the incident happened near the intersection of Buford Highway and Clairmont Road around 6:45 p.m.

About 300 nearby residents lost power for a short time until Georgia Power was able to respond to the incident.

The pedestrian was transported to a Grady Memorial Hospital.
