Small plane crashes at airport in northwest Georgia, FAA says(link is external)

The Cirrus SR22, a single-engine plane, went down while landing at the Barwick-LaFayette Airport in Walker County at around 2:30 p.m.

In an update on Friday, Local 3 said Stacey Meeks, a spokesperson with the City of LaFayette, identified the two victims as Russell Edward Jones, 48, of LaFayette, Georgia, and Steven Boyd Powell, 52, of Cartersville, Georgia.
