Columbus woman accused of hit-and-run while drunk driving

Gladys Williams, 56, has been charged with a DUI and numerous traffic violations after she was arrested at the intersection of Veterans Parkway and West Britt David Road Tuesday night.

Gladys Williams was driving north on Veteran's Parkway while under the influence of alcohol. Police say she was "swerving and weaving" on the road before she hit a truck at the intersection of Veterans Parkway and Whitesville Road. She was found in her vehicle, which sustained moderate damage, and arrested. Williams is apparently the Vice President of Training at Aflac.
