2 Killed in Thomas County Accident Sunday

THOMASVILLE, Ga. -- A man and woman were killed in Thomas County in an accident involving a semi-truck Sunday afternoon. Georgia State Patrol says that 81-year-old Everette Pollock and 84-year-old Jo Ann Tuvell were killed when their car was hit by a semi-truck at the intersection of the US-84 Bypass and Georgia State Road 3. Troopers say 54-year-old Paul Jones was driving the semi-truck and did not stop at a red light. Authorities also say Jones told them he was distracted while trying to take off his headset.. Charges are pending against Jones, according to GSP. No further details are available at this time.
