According to the Honolulu Police Department, a 29-year-old man on a black Harley Davidson motorcycle was driving on the freeway in the second westbound lane. With him was a 45-year-old woman. The man was trying to change to the first lane when he, for unknown reasons, collided into the zipper lane wall on the left median.
