Pedestrian dies as she's struck by 2 vehicles

Police say the male driver stopped to render aid and a second westbound vehicle also struck the woman.

Two arrests in pedestrian fatality in Lihue

The man was the driver of a gray Tacoma that struck Larish at about 6:15 a.m. while she was walking in a marked crosswalk fronting the Lihue Post Office. He stopped his truck in an attempt to render aid when a second vehicle driven by the woman struck Larish and failed to stop. 

A 60 year-old woman was killed at approximately 6:15 a.m. Tuesday 10/7/2014, in Lihue, Hawaii when she was hit by two cars in the crosswalk of Rice Street adjacent to the Bank of Hawaii.  A male traveling westbound in a pickup struck the woman and stopped to assist when a second vehicle also hit the downed woman. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
