According to the Mountain Home School District, grief counselors were made available at the victims' schools. The crash remains under investigation.
Two juveniles dead in Mountain Home wreck
Frontage Road was blocked for approximately 3 hours while crews worked to clear the scene.
Veronica Verele, 15, was driving an SUV with three other young occupants on I-84, when she lost control of the vehicle for some reason and it began to flip. No one in the vehicle was wearing seat belts, and they were all thrown from the vehicle as it rolled. Arath Hernandez, 12, and David Martinez, 13, were both pronounced dead at the scene. Verele and Jesse Rodriguez, 12, were both taken to the hospital by helicopter for treatment of injuries. The cause of this tragic crash remains under investigation.
