Sean Fredrickson and his three children, Jay Cawley, Kelly Kreeger, David E. Sorensen, and Neil Lunt killed in small-plane collision in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Witnesses described the planes colliding and crashing into the lake near Powderhorn Bay at around 2:20 p.m. on Sunday, a Kootenai County Sheriff’s statement said.

The remaining six victims are still unaccounted for but are believed to be dead, Higgins said. They include adults and children but no further details were available.

A memorial is in place at the float plane's stall with flowers left for the victims and a book for people to share their favorite memories of Brooks Seaplane or those who lost their lives.

An avid fisherman and hunter with a deep respect for the outdoors, the 67-year-old Lewiston resident often swooped into remote corners of backcountry and wilderness looking for the next big fish or quiet forest clearing. 

Olsen holds on to memories, like his kids playing together on the court at Nike, where he works.

There was no radar or automatic dependent surveillance broadcast data for either plane, according to the report.
