SUV passenger killed in I-84 rollover crash

Neither man was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, police said.

He failed to negotiate the curve at exit 173, drove off the roadway, over-corrected and came back onto the road.
A passenger in an SUV was killed early Sunday morning when the driver lost control on Interstate 84 off-ramp, causing a rollover crash. Bruno Gonzalez Vargas, 21, was traveling eastbound on I-84 when he lost control of his Chevy Blazer near Twin Falls. The SUV rolled over, ejecting both Gonzalez Vargas and his passenger, Adrian Torres, 21, from the vehicle which then caught fire. Torres was pronounced deceased at the crash site. Gonzalez Vargas was transported to a Twin Falls hospital. His condition has not been reported at the time of this report.  The cause of the crash is being investigated.

This was not in Twin Falls or in Twin Falls County. This was in Jerome County and the city would be considered Jerome.
