UPDATED: 1 dead in 2 vehicle crash on I-72

Sangamon County Coroner Cinda Edwards reports she has identified a driver who died from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 72 Tuesday morning. Edwards identified the driver of the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu as 69-year-old Mary Oldfield of Tacoma, Washington. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday, September 9. The Illinois State Police continue to investigate this crash. We will provide more details as they become available.
