Brittany Allred, 25, killed in single-vehicle rollover crash on North Liberty Road in Jarvis Township, Illinois

Police are investigating the death of a woman from Cahokia after she crashed her vehicle Saturday afternoon. Authorities say Brittany Allred, 25, was driving northbound on North Liberty Road in Jarvis Township near Troy, Illinois when her Ford Explorer veered off the road and hit an embankment, causing the vehicle to roll over multiple times. Police have not determined how Allred lost control of her vehicle, but they do say she was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. She suffered blunt force trauma to her head, chest, and abdomen. The Madison County Coroner’s Office is scheduled to perform a toxicology test. The investigation is ongoing.
