3 Metra Union Pacific Northwest trains running Barrington to Chicago after pedestrian struck

Metra sent three trains to pick up riders at the Barrington station after an inbound train struck a pedestrian.Those trains will make all stops to Chicago along the union Pacific Northwest Line. Tuesday said inbound train No. 624 was involved in a pedestrian incident.Fire officials confirm the incident occurred between stops near Hugh Street (Route 59) in Barrington Hills. They did not say when they expected trains to start moving again through Barrington. They said a person was transported tot he hospital from the scene.Metra said the CTA will honor Metra tickets Tuesday morning on the Blue Line from Rosemont to Chicago. Once the trains are filled to capacity, they will express to Chicago.Trains are not getting through in either direction at Barrington as investigators look into what happened.
