The Chicago Fire Department was called Tuesday morning to a crash on the city's Southwest Side involving a car that crashed into a pole.
Crews arrived near Kedzie and Pershing to find several females pinned inside the car, including a 2-year-old.
Three women, ages 19, 20 and 24, were taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital, another woman, 19, and the toddler were taken in critical condition to Mt. Sinai Hospital.
Traffic on Kedzie was blocked early Tuesday. Six ambulances responded to the scene.
