1 Killed, 2 Injured In Stevenson Expressway Crash
State Police continue to investigate and would not say Wednesday evening whether anyone would be charged or cited.
A man died and two other people were injured in a Stevenson Expressway accident Wednesday when an SUV caused a chain-reaction crash which involved three vehicles. The crash occurred when the driver of a Ford Expedition SUV, traveling at high speed, changed lanes to take an exit and rear-ended a Dodge Ram. Both vehicles crashing into a concrete wall. The Dodge then hit a Honda Civic. Neither the driver nor the sole passenger in the Ford were wearing seatbelts. The passenger, identified as Enrique Moreno, 28, was transported to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased a short time later. The driver of the Ford, a 25-year-old Chicago man, was transported to Stroger Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries,.
