One person is dead after a car and CTA bus crashed on the South Side early Wednesday morning.The incident happened near East 107th Street and South Michigan Avenue in the Roseland neighborhood.An eyewitness said the driver was thrown out of his car.There were passengers on the bus.

A man was killed and five people were injured when a car and CTA bus collided in Roseland on the Far South Side early Wednesday, police said. The crash happened about 2:30 a.m., when a car heading north on Michigan Avenue near 107th Street veered into oncoming traffic and into the bus, according to Chicago Police. The man driving the car was dead at the scene, police said. Five people from the bus were taken to hospitals with minor injuries and two others declined medical treatment, police said.
