29-year-old man dead in single-vehicle wreck on Route 173 in Hebron, Illinois
Gurnee Man, 29, Killed in McHenry Co. Crash
The crash happened on U.S. Route 173 and Price Road in the village of Hebron at 1:59 p.m., according to a news release from the McHenry County Sheriff's Office. A 2002 Mercury Villager was heading east on Route 173 when it left the roadway to the south, struck a tree and caught fire.
The driver and sole occupant of the car -- a 29-year-old Gurnee man -- was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release. The name of the man is not currently being released.
