Police: Man killed in hit-and-run crash in Logan Square

A 2005 Chrysler 300 was traveling north in the 2500 block of North Western when the driver blew through a red light and struck a 1994 Mazda, according to Chicago Police.

 

Man charged in NW Side fatal hit-and-run

After impact, the driver of the car allegedly left the scene and did not notify police. Authorities identified the driver as Demetrius Frayzier. He was arrested around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Driver Charged In Fatal Logan Square Crash Facing Lawsuit

Maldonado’s wife, Francisca Otero, filed the wrongful death suit Thursday in Cook County Circuit Court, according to court documents. She is seeking more than $50,000 from Frayzier and a person who owned the vehicle he was driving.
