The Toyota first struck a 2010 Chevrolet—driven by Jarrod Oden, 43, of Palatine, according to police—in a head-on collision, then continued and hit a 2006 Toyota taxi head-on, as well.

Sipe was behind the wheel of a 2014 Toyota Scion heading south on northbound Route 53 just before 4 a.m. Tuesday when police said he struck two vehicles head-on.
