UPDATE: Rock Island County Coroner Brian Gustafson has identified the victim in the hit-and-run as a 26-year-old man. He says they are still working to notify the next of kin. An autopsy has not yet been scheduled.

According to Rock Island Coroner Brian Gustafson, the victim in the fatal bicycle accident has been identified as 26-year-old Leland S. Debord of Milan, Ill.

"He loved making music and restoring guitars," said Kenith. "You could pull an old guitar out of the garbage and he’d fix it up like new. I was amazed at how he could do it.”
