According to a police report from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, at about 3:33 p.m. Jennifer Bryant, 40, of Carbondale, and her 7-year-old passenger were traveling northbound on Union School Road in a silver Buick Century when they met a white Mazda heading southbound being driven by a 17-year-old female from Ava.
