Police: Drunken Driving, In-Uniform Officer Hit and Severely Injured Frankfort Man

Sixteen-year Lake County Indiana Sheriff's Department officer Guy Mikulich, 37, reportedly registered a blood-alcohol content of 0.15 after committing the hit-and-run accident that injured Derrick Dircks, 34, of Frankfort, reported The Times of Northwest Indiana.

Indiana State Police said Tuesday that Lt. Guy Mikulich faces four felony charges and 10 misdemeanors stemming from the Sunday afternoon crash.

Guy John Mikulich, 37, of Merrillville, who is free on $3,000 cash bond, appeared in court wearing a gray dress shirt, gray dress pants and dark-colored tie, as the charges against him – four felonies and nine misdemeanors – were read. His mother and sister accompanied him.
