Driver dies after overcorrecting SUV, flipping in rural Adams County

Police at the scene determined the SUV initially went off the road for an unknown reason, and the driver overcorrected, causing the car SUV to go off the other side of the road before overcorrecting again and flipping, finally coming to a stop back on the road. According to the release, 23-year-old Dakota Rouse from Geneva was found in the driver’s seat and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, Dakota L. Rouse, 23, was dead at the scene, and a passenger, 19-year-old Jayden Hubbard, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, police said.

Responder teams at the scene on SR 116, north of the Perryville curve at 1050 S, found a Ford Explorer that had rolled over, trapping the occupants.
