The Dekalb County Sherrif’s Office says a pick-up truck driven by 49-year-old Chad Knott crossed the center line on U.S. 6 and struck another truck. Knott, who is from Waterloo, Indiana, died as a result of his injuries.

It happened about 2:20 p.m. in the 500 block of West Union St. (U.S. 6). DeKalb County Sheriff's deputies say 49-year-old Chad Knott was driving east in a 1999 Chevy Silverado when the truck crossed into the westbound lane and hit a 2009 Chevy Silverado head-on.

According to a release from the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office, the driver of a pickup was eastbound in the 500 block of West Union Street in Waterloo when it crossed the center of the road and crashed head-on into another pickup that was heading west. The driver of the pickup that crossed into the other lane was identified as Chad Knott, 49 of Waterloo. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
