Dylan Cox, 15, dies in skateboarding accident in Camby, Indiana

A weekend crash that fatally injured a 15-year-old skateboarder remained under investigation Monday, but it appeared the motorist had no chance to avoid the teen, investigators said. Lt. Jim Yetter with the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Department said that Dylan Cox was pronounced dead about 10:15 p.m. Saturday near Heartland Boulevard and Raceway Road in Camby. The investigation showed Cox, wearing dark clothing, was skateboarding in the roadway of the residential area when he was hit. The driver stopped after the crash, Yetter said. Excessive speed, drugs or alcohol are not believed to be factors, he said. No charges were filed.
