Eight people were taken to local hospitals Saturday afternoon after a crash.

It happened just after 1 p.m. Saturday at Southeastern Parkway and Connecticut Avenue.

Officers at the scene say a 17-year-old from Fishers, who was driving a black Chrysler 200 on Connecticut Avenue, failed to stop at the intersection at Southeastern Avenue and crashed with a white Chevrolet Traverse. That car was driven by a 31-year-old Noblesville man.

Emergency crews had to free one of the Traverse passengers after that person was trapped inside.

Police say eight people, including several juveniles, were injured and taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office was investigating the accident.
