COLUMBUS, Ind. -
An 18-year-old woman from Columbus was killed in a crash just before noon Tuesday.
It happened on Deaver Rd. between County Roads 50 W and 150 W.
Police have released more details about a deadly crash along Interstate 65 in Bartholomew County Tuesday night.
Smith was injured in a crash on Tuesday when her car collided with a sport utility vehicle, driven by Shelby Shipley, 43. Smith later died at a hospital from blunt force injuries.
The motorcycle went off the road, hit a speed limit sign and then went down a ravine and hit several trees. Both riders died at the scene because of fractures to the skull.
Daily was driving westbound on Ind. 32 when he crashed into the rear of a car driven by Shirley Fisher, 75. Fisher's car was forced into the rear of a pickup truck driven by Ronald Wright, 73, which in turn struck the rear of a Chevrolet Malibu driven by Stephanie Goodman, 43.
All westbound lanes of I-74 near State Road 267 were closed Saturday morning. A crash involving a semi shut down lanes at mile marker 63.5., on Saturday before 5 a.m. Lanes could be closed for approximately three hours to clean up after the crash.
