Crystal Baldwin, 52, injured in motorcycle accident while trying to avoid cargo falling out of truck being driven by Mitchell Sutton, 25, on Highway 13 just south of Millard Lane in Central City, Iowa

Police said the pickup'€™s driver, 25-year-old Mitchell Sutton, failed to property secure '€œpersonal floatation devices'€ in the back of the truck. CENTRAL CITY '€” A Missouri woman was hospitalized Friday when she crashed her motorcycle trying to avoid items that had fallen off the back of a truck. The Linn County Sheriff'€™s Office, Central City Fire Department and Center Point Ambulance Service were called to a personal injury crash on Highway 13 south of Millard Lane in Central City at 11:38 a.m. Responders discovered Crystal Baldwin, 52, of Wenzville, Mo., had lost control of her motorcycle while trying to navigate around debris that flew out of the back of a pickup. The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending, police said.
