4 people die when semi smashes into car in eastern Iowa

Authorities say four people died when a semitrailer truck smashed into their car in eastern Iowa. The Iowa State Patrol says an eastbound semitrailer truck struck the side of a southbound Chevrolet Impala just before 5 p.m. The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the crash. The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports the crash happened Friday evening where Highways 21 and 30 meet near Tama, Iowa. Authorities say 68-year-old William Willis and 65-year-old Linda Faye Willis of San Antonio, Texas, and 89-year-old George Eggers and 88-year-old Delorise Smith Eggers of Memphis, Missouri, died in the crash.
