One person died in a crash on Highway 141, north of Grimes, Thursday afternoon.
Update: Driver Identified in Deadly Crash
The driver of the Silverado pickup, 38-year-old Christopher Jermier of Grimes, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the dump truck, 60-year-old Richard Lansman Jr. of Adel was uninjured.
Fatal collision at Beaver Creek bridge on Highway 141 Thursday
A collision involving a dump truck and another vehicle shortly after 1 p.m. on the northbound lanes of Iowa Highway 141 north of Grimes Thursday caused one fatality and led to the closure of the road for several hours.
A pickup truck collided with a dump truck at about 1 p.m., killing the pickup driver. The dump truck driver was not injured. A section of Highway 141 was closed for several hours after the accident. More information will be posted as it is released.
