The crash was reported about 11:40 a.m. north of Indianola near 12341 Geneva Street, which is just west of Highway 69 at Geneva Street.

Authorities said Alex Michael Winter, 22, of Indianola, was killed in the crash. The name of the second victim is still being withheld.

The Piper PA-11 crashed around 11:40 a.m. under what the Federal Aviation Administration called "unknown circumstances" in a field outside the airport, near 12341 Geneva St., just west of Highway 69, north of Indianola.
