Authorities have released the name of a wrong-way driver who died after a collision on U.S. Highway 20 in northwest Iowa.
Authorities have identified the woman killed in the crash as 84-year-old Katherine Siler, 84, of Sioux City. The crash happened at approximately 10:30 a.m. Wednesday on the bridge over Interstate 29 in Sioux City. Siler entered the wrong lanes in South Sioux City, Nebraska, and traveled east. Her truck collided with a van driven by Melanie Albenesius, 33, of South Sioux City. Albenesius and her passenger, her 3-year-old daughter, were transported to Mercy Medical Center for treatment; their condition is not being reported at this time. Siler was pronounced deceased at the crash site.
