James McAllister, the man charged with involuntary manslaughter and driving under the influence in the crash, already has a drunken driving conviction on his record. According to court records, McAllister, 27, ran a stop sign and struck Vogel’s car, killing her.
Driver sentenced in wreck that killed Olathe instructor
The Kansas City Star reports 29-year-old James McAllister, of Overland Park, pleaded guilty in September to involuntary manslaughter in the death of 24-year-old Caitlin Vogel of Stilwell. He was sentenced Wednesday to nine years and seven months in prison.
