Two children killed in Ohio County vehicle accident
Ohio County’s Deputy Coroner pronounced DeAnthony Till, 3, and Arzaria Irvin, 5, both of Hopkinsville, dead at the scene. The two children were passengers in a car driven by Gwendolyn T. Till, 25, of Hopkinsville, according to Kentucky State Police.
At about 1:50 a.m. on Western Kentucky Parkway Gwendolyn T. Till, 25, was driving a car west when, for unknown reasons, the car crossed the median and entered oncoming traffic. The car struck a semi truck and caught fire. The driver was able to put out the fire with his fire extinguisher. Gwendolyn T. Till was taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital by ambulance for treatment, and two child passengers in the car, 3-year-old DeAnthony Till and 5-year-old Arzaria Irvin, were pronounced dead at the scene. Neither child was wearing a seat belt.
After an injury car accident, take these steps to help the recovery process
When someone has been injured in a car crash, it's hard to know what to do to help. Injured people need appropriate medical treatment, but they also need to have their civil and legal rights protected.
After a serious crash, several steps need to be taken, including informing the insurance companies, tracking and documenting lost income from missed work, and coordinating medical bill payments. These are difficult tasks to manage when someone is dealing with severe injuries.
